Deep Thoughts by War Machine: Part 8

October 14, 2010 All The Rest

Please excuse me for slacking.  War Machine put up his latest blog last week and I just saw it now!  I guess this Gal can only stand so much awesomeness at once.  I need a longer break in between War Machine’s prison blog sagas.  This week, Mr. Machine thrills us with tales of body hair, masturbation (again), drugs, and Hepatitis C (my second favorite venereal disease).  Does anyone else feel that War Machine may be breaking some prison “bro code” by talking about all the drugs that make their way into prison?  Watch your ass, War Machine, and Godspeed.

3 months done! Doesn’t seem like I’ve been here that long. I hope the next months fly by in the same way! I finally got fed up with growing all this damn body hair and took advantage of the privacy of temporarily not having a celly, and I shaved. Man I feel better! I don’t know how other guys can stand that shit. They think it’s gross if a girl has a “bush” and yet they have pubes longer than their own dongs! LOL!

Anyway, still the same ole boring shit here… I think I’ve broken the world record for the amount of times someone has “spanked it” in one day many times over! LOL! I finally got on a steady workout regime. I was getting skinny & fat at the same time… UGH!

What else… man these guys here have all kinds of lil’ tricks! They’ve even developed ways so their friends can send them stuff in the mail. The jail checks all the mail we get too, but it still gets by! I don’t understand why anyone would want to be high on meth or heroine or whatever and be up for days on end in here with NOTHING to do, but plenty of them do it. It’d be easy to come to jail clean and leave a junkie. Glad I’m not one to fuck around with shit like that. It’s a huge business thogh. I hear stories of guys in prison literally getting RICH while serving life or long sentences from selling dope. Crazy.

And SO MANY of the guys here have Hepatitis C!! I don’t know how easy it is to catch but it makes me nervous being celled up with someone who has it!! That would end my fighting career! One more reason to avoid fighting in here though, last thing I want is that blood on me… ugh!

So a few of the cops that work here at the jail told me they were curious and “Googled” my name. They told me that they watched the surveillance footage of the fight that landed me here. Unanimously they agreed that it was bullshit! They told me they can’t believe I got charged and nobody else did. Furthermore, they said it was ridiculous that I received a felony as a result. I already knew this but it’s nice to have police officers share the opinion. At most, I should have gotten a misdemeanor battery, lame. Watch for yourself. YouTube search “War Machine Bar Brawl.”

Either way, I shouldn’t be out drinking and putting myself in situations where problems can occur, but I just hate the fact that I’m labeled as some arch criminal, bully, when it’s not the case. The bouncer I fought in Vegas was my co-worker and was 6’3″ 350 lbs. The fight I got into at the porn party was me vs. 7 guys and I was NEVER EVEN CHARGED because the cops/DA ruled it self-defense. Don’t believe the hype/media. As a professional, I’m always respectful in the cage and I put on entertaining fights. When I’m free again, I won’t put myself in shitty situations and these mishaps will be behind me.

Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard II official for UFC 125 on Jan. 1 in Las Vegas

October 14, 2010 All The Rest

One final hurdle remains for Frankie Edgar if he hopes to silence the last of the doubters.

The reigning UFC Lightweight Champion will get his long overdue rematch with Gray Maynard, as the two 155-pound standouts hook ‘em up for a second time at UFC 125 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Jan. 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the promotion announced today.

And this time it’s for the title.

“The Answer” shocked the world (again) when he defeated BJ Penn for a second time this year at UFC 118 in the promotion’s Boston debut back in August. The Toms River native claimed “The Prodigy’s” belt when they first met at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi last March.

Edgar holds but one loss on his stellar record, and it just so happens to be against his new challenger to the 155-pound throne, Gray Maynard.

“The Bully” earned his title shot on the same night Edgar dominated Penn in “Beantown,” claiming a convincing unanimous decision win over Kenny Florian.

Maynard to this day remains undefeated at 10-0. With a unanimous decision victory over the current champ at UFC Fight Night 13 back in 2008, one has to imagine that confidence is something that Maynard won’t be lacking come New Year’s Day.

But will it be enough to overcome Edgar 2.0?

UFC 125, recently announced via the website’s “Ultimate Insider,” will feature a super-sized showdown between Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson as both heavyweights try to get back into the 265-pound title hunt.

Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann and Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera are also expected to be announced for the Jan. 1 pay-per-view in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned to MMAmania.com for more updates to this still-developing fight card.

Random Awesome Highlight Video: Jean-Charles Skarbowski

October 14, 2010 All The Rest

You saw him on last night’s TUF.  He was short, drunk, and not intimidating looking at all.  And yet he was dropping GSP’s team members effortlessly.  So, who is this guy that GSP brought in to help his team train?  His name is Jean-Charles Skarbowski, and he is a Muay Thai fighter from France.  Ok, you probably got that from the show. You also probably figured out that he’s BAD.  And you are right.  While there are several highlight videos featuring him floating around out there,  this one seems to be the best.  Oh yeah, and I gotta say, the Star Wars geek in me giggles over ‘Thai fighter’ every single time.  Enjoy!

The Ultimate Fighter 12: Episode 5 Recap

October 14, 2010 All The Rest

Josh Koscheck invited special guest star Jon Fitch.  Except we already saw him last week due to creative editing.

In an attempt to garner air time, Bruce Leroy puts bleach in Nam Phan’s detergent and Michael Johnson ends up using it to wash his clothes.  Johnson is not amused.  Bruce Leroy calls it a prank.  Wrapping someone’s bed in Saran Wrap is a prank.  Spiking their fabric softener with a substance that will destroy every bit of clothing they own goes a bit further than that, don’t you think?

Georges St. Pierre invited special guest star is Muay Thai coach Jean Charles Skarbowsky.  He’s sporting quite the hairy chest.  He proceeds to beat up Team GSP.  While drunk.  I’m all for eccentric personalities, but you might not want to let a drunken Muay Thai fighter spar with your guys.

This week’s fight is announced.  Spencer Paige vs. Nam Phan.  I think Paige is going to get destroyed.

Nam Phan runs for an hour every day.  Paige sits and watches Phan run.  This will most likely not end well for Paige.

How lucky do we feel?  We have another special guest star.  Chuckles decides to join us this week.  Copious amounts of ass kissing by Team Koscheck ensues.

Fight time!

Round One.  Paige is kicking the crap out of Phan.  Phan’s getting some punches in and knocks down Paige with about 2 minutes left in the round. Phan tries to submit Paige who is saved by the bell.

Round Two.  They’re both punching and kicking but Paige seemed to take the brunt of the damage.  Paige keeps throwing kicks and falling.  Ah, and the foreshadowing of Phan running while Paige sits on his ass watching comes in to play.  Paige looks gassed and frustrated with 1 minute left in the round. Oopsy, he throws a kick and falls again.  Paige now has a broken hand.  It’s a good thing for him there’s no Round Three.  Nam Phan wins the fight. Koscheck proceeds to rub it in GSP’s face.

Reason #4 the Gals Don’t Go GaGa for GSP:  He has no affect.  He looks and sounds the same when he’s angry, happy, sad, etc.

UFC Quick Quote: Is Dan Hardy at ‘the top of the ladder’ in his division?

October 14, 2010 All The Rest

“Welcome to England Carlos. I’m gonna knock you out, stamp your passport, and send you back home. He’s gonna step in there thinking he can fight me like he has fought everybody else, and I’ll hit him one time and change his mind – if he’s still awake. I could beat him any day of the week, whenever, wherever. I don’t see anything in his game that concerns me. He’s not gonna hurt me with his striking, if he even lands a punch. He’s scrappy and he’s wild. I could close my eyes and throw a punch in any direction and it would still hit him in the face. He needs to be sitting down with his coach and figuring what else he can do for a career. This is the top of the ladder, this is as far as he goes, send some job applications out for something else.”

“The Outlaw” (via ESPN.co.uk) continues to crank up the anger, and trash talk, for his pivotal welterweight showdown with Carlos Condit at UFC 120, which will go down from the O2 Arena in London, England, this Saturday (Oct. 16) on Spike TV. Hardy plans on giving “The Natural Born Killer” his pink slip and a map to the unemployment office in front of a pro-Limey crowd, but is he posturing now and paying for it later? And if Dan Hardy is at “the top of the ladder,” then where does that leave Fitch, Koscheck and even Shields? How about Alves? Rankings, please.
