A brainstorming meeting this week, part of the state’s Downtowns of Promise program, produced a variety of suggestions from local residents, community leaders, city officials and Downtown Development Authority board members.
It is imperative that everyone in Muskegon County be aware of the work that United Way does in our community and be presented with the opportunity to engage in the process of giving, advocating, or volunteering.
The community input for crafting a vision for the downtown is part of the state’s Downtowns of Promise initiative that Muskegon Heights was selected for. The seven communities in the program, including Muskegon Heights, have poverty levels among the highest in the state.
