Don’t let the name of this store fool you — Ken’s Fruit Market carries much more then fruit. It has seasonal flowers, grocery items, vegetables, seafood and a butcher right on site.
This neighborhood store in Alger Heights opened in August 2010. It is already expanding due to the support of the community. In December it added the butcher shop. Its shelves are stocked with as many local items as they can find. This may be a small town store, but it has a large selection of fruit and vegetables as well as meats.
