You may or may not have noticed that Clay Guida cranked out a world class belch on his way to a win over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 117. He also had to the presence of mind to protect his cornerman from the fallout by offering a forearm shiver to clear a path for any odious fumes to pass harmlessly into the cage.

The journeyman Guida, now 27-11, closed out dos Anjos via submission.
In round one, Guida landed a combination which included a solid shot to dos Anjos’ jaw, and later on in the third round, “The Carpenter” had Anjos’ head pinned against the cage and applied enough pressure to that jaw with his shoulder to force dos Anjos to tap.
